A history that began way back in 1864, at number 289 of the arcaded medieval village of Cava de' Tirreni.

Over time, quality will remain an essential prerequisite in the life of the company! In 1924 the VIRNO company experienced its first handover. His father Michele was succeeded by his son Pio, who led the " Virno Uomo " shop, significantly contributing to increasing its prestige. From the second post-war period to today, the evolution of the company has taken on an accelerated pace, so much so that when the father Pio leaves the business to his sons Antonio and Giuseppe, men's and women's clothing had already been introduced to the detriment of fabrics. The evolution of the textile and manufacturing industry brought elegance within the reach of an ever-increasing number of people. But nothing changes... The quality of the products, the artisan care of the workmanship and an ever attentive look at the evolution of lifestyles remain the constants that determine its continuous success. In 1988, the new " Virno Donna " store marked the beginning of a modern policy of modernization of the offer, which was then continued with the opening of the " Virno Store ", a structure dedicated to the Jeans and Sportwear collections of " Virno Junior " and of " Virno Outlet ". Today the fourth generation is running the company, represented by the brothers Rosario, Luca and Massimiliano, assisted by their sister Pia. And with them continues VIRNO's ability to be modern without forgetting the suggestions of classic lines and details, the ability to innovate without renouncing traditions. For its loyal clientele it has always been considered "the family shop", where shopping is transformed into an amusing meeting occasion. A pleasant stop, for a gift, for a useful purchase, for a superfluous purchase, or even just for a coffee. More than a century and a half has already passed... the fifth generation is already pawing... and the story continues!
